About Us
Hi! My name is Tammy Green, and I live on a 20-acre horse ranch called the NanTam Ranch in Indiantown, Florida. Many people ask how did you come up with that name for your Ranch and Kennel. Well, it was my father who named the Ranch. Dad served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean War and was a WWII Hero. Being that he loves to be out on the water, his dream was to have his own boat. Unfortunately he never got his dream boat. But he said he would have named it after his two favorite girls: my Mom Nancy and me, his daughter. Henceforth, Dad named The NanTam Ranch. The NanTam Ranch was established in 1992. At the time, I was half owners with my parents. When they retired in 2001 though, I bought them out, and kept the name the same in Honor of my Father. One thing my Father always taught me was that "Your Word Is Your Honor. If you don't keep your word then you have No Honor." Well, I always promised him, that I would never change the NanTam name. |

Dogs and Horses have been my whole life. I began showing Hunter Jumper horses in NY as a child. As a teenager my family moved to Florida. I continued showing horses well into my 30’s. I competed in Hunter Hack, Open Jumpers, Equitation, Dressage, Western Pleasure, Showmanship, Bareback Riding, Halter and Trail. I held nine Grand Champion Titles for several years in South Florida. And my Quarter Horse Qualified three times to go to The World AQHA Show. I’ve trained and owned several different Breeds. Arabians, Quarter Horses, and Thoroughbreds. The Thoroughbreds that I have owned all were race horse rescues. My newest race horse is Wise-Note (call name is Blueberry), and she is a sweet and gentle gray mare who makes a wonderful trail horse. I wish more people would take the time to rescue these great animals after their careers come to an end. I remember giving Blueberry her first carrot. That’s right. At the age of seven she never had a carrot. She did not even know what it was. Now she whinnies for her treat. Sad huh? In her career she had won several races, and was never rewarded for her hard work. When I got her, she was skinny, had a skin rash and white line in her hooves. After just one month of taking care of her, she is probably one of the most beautiful horses I ever owned. And mind you I owned Champion Halter Horses. These beautiful and sweet race horses deserve a second chance and make perfect family horses and and most of them are spook proof. I no longer show horses, now I’m just a pleasure rider. |

As a teenager I started training our family dogs to compete in dog obedience. Back then the family dogs consisted of a Pekingese, Chihuahua, Toy Poodle, Maltese, Springer Spaniel and a Great Dane. Finally, all grown up and out of the family home, I started looking for the right breed for me. Twenty-seven years ago I found my first Toy Manchester Terrier, or I should say my first Toy Manchester Terrier found me, and she made me fall in love with the breed. Twenty-seven years ago I found my first Toy Manchester Terrier, or I should say my first Toy Manchester Terrier found me, and she made me fall in love with the breed. I now train my Toy Manchester’s to compete in Conformation. I have also trained five Therapy dogs, two Service dogs, and in the process of now training a Cancer dog.
